<dc:description>We study the neighborhood of an embedded $J$-holomorphic disc attached along its boundary to a maximal totally real submanifold in an almost complex manifold. In particular, we provide sufficient conditions for the set of all nearby attached $J$-holomorphic discs to be a manifold.</dc:description>
