On the Schlicht Bloch constant II James Jenkins This paper studies the Schlicht Bloch Constant and consists of two parts. In the first, certain qualitative properties of extremal functions are given. In particular, it is proved that for an extremal function, there always is an extremal disc. In the second, a new explicit numerical bound .57088 for the Schlicht Bloch Constant is given, improving earlier results.
